Growing up in a small town, I spent my high school years dreaming of a future beyond the familiar streets. I envisioned myself moving to a bigger city, earning a degree, becoming a lawyer, and living a life of success and independence. I was ready to turn my dreams into reality.
I took the leap, pursued a degree in Criminology, and was eager to start earning money. But in 2003, the criminal justice field was saturated with applicants, and finding a job proved challenging. Any job would do at that point, so I started in a customer service role at a startup. I quickly climbed the ranks from team leader to operations manager. Although I was making $34,000 a year, it was just enough to cover rent and food—not quite the abundant life I had envisioned.
Determined to make my mark, I sought a position at a larger telecommunications company. I landed a full-time retention customer service role that paid well and offered excellent benefits, but my ultimate goal was still to become a lawyer. I decided to retake the LSAT to improve my score.
My leader at the telecommunications company encouraged me to apply for a promotion. I was hesitant, thinking I needed more time to prove myself, but he insisted. I didn’t get the job the first time, but I took it as a challenge. I re-applied, and over the next 19 years, I advanced from customer service representative to assistant supervisor, manager, regional manager, director, and eventually, vice president.
The journey taught me that success isn’t about time or effort alone—it’s about personal strategy. Your strategy is your blueprint for success. It’s not just about working hard but about working smart, investing in your personal growth, and being proactive in shaping your own path.
As you climb higher in your career, coaching becomes scarce, and the path can get lonely. I want to create a space where aspiring leaders can come together to learn, grow, and break through the limitations of their own beliefs and organizational constraints. By focusing on personal development and embracing every challenge as an opportunity for growth, you’ll see tangible progress in your career and your life.
You are the CEO of your own brand, and your reality reflects the choices you make. If you’re ready to take control of your destiny and achieve measurable success, join me on this journey. I’m glad you’re here, and I’m excited to support you in achieving your dreams.
Welcome to the start of something great.
